Summer School – The Future of Fostering (Hybrid Model)

In this presentation, we will examine the research about canine and feline foster care programs in animal shelters and their effects on human and animal welfare, the successes and challenges of supporting shelter foster care programs in animal shelters, and recommendations for best fostering practices for lasting programmatic success. We will also discuss preliminary findings from new research exploring hybrid fostering (doggie daycare) through PetSmart’s Everyday Adoption Centers.
